In the Community

1st Summit Bank and its professionals have been invested in the communities where we work and live for a century. In our one hundred years of dedication to our communities, we focus on helping our customers build brighter tomorrows. We’re actively engaged in strengthening, energizing, and supporting our neighborhoods. In addition to serving our communities financially, our mission is to volunteer and donate to organizations that make our hometowns special.

Our professionals and their families donate time, talent, and resources to help local charitable and cultural organizations. We seek ways to help our clients and their neighborhoods prosper and thrive. 1st Summit Bank supports regional and national organizations through giving and community service campaigns.

Where We Give

We support groups and organizations in our markets with an emphasis on causes that our professionals are directly engaged with. In addition, 1st Summit Bank provides support to local community organizations in the following categories:

The Arts

The Bank regularly supports organizations like the Johnstown Symphony Orchestra, Community Arts Center of Cambria County, Bottleworks, and Gallery on Gazebo. We believe that the arts are extremely important to the fabric of a community.

Child & Family Services

Supporting the children in our communities is of the utmost importance. One of our favorite yearly events is the Needy Children’s Shopping Tour, taking children shopping for warm clothes every winter. We also support local Community Action Partnership organizations, Westmont Family Counseling Ministries, and many more.

Education

On top of supporting organizations like Junior Achievement and The Challenge Program, we find it extremely important to use our experience to teach students in our local schools. Our Bank Professionals regularly go into the schools to teach our youths on saving money, credit, and careers in finance.
