Celebrating 100 years in business, 1st Summit Bank has officially reached its century anniversary—a rare and monumental milestone for employees, customers, and the community.
100 Years of Commitment
With a century of serving generations of both families and businesses, 1st Summit Bank’s adaptability, resilience, focus on the community, and ability to generate victories for its customers have sustained its position as a community staple.
“Our commitment to our customers and lasting success as a bank has made a difference for countless families and businesses,” said J. Eric Renner, President and Chief Executive Officer. “1st Summit Bank’s consistency, in offering exceptional and personalized service and products through the past century, means we are poised for continued growth and success.”
The theme of the 100th anniversary year—For the Community. For Brighter Tomorrows—honors the bank’s unique ability to engage with each community it serves and the bank’s role in helping families and businesses reach their wide-ranging goals and dreams.
Donating to Communities
The bank’s community engagement includes generous donations and in-kind help for several local organizations. 1st Summit Bank supports the arts, child and family services, education, health, social services, civic organizations, and community events, including sponsoring the 1st Summit Arena in Johnstown and the annual Ken Lantzy All-Star Classic football program.
The century anniversary occurs during a time of expansion for 1st Summit Bank. The bank now has 19 community offices, including the newest branch locations in Altoona and Greensburg, opened in October and December 2023, respectively.
Celebrations to Mark the Anniversary
May 24 marks the official anniversary date, and 1st Summit Bank looks forward to further celebrations and surprises for customers in the spring.
