1st Summit Bank Fireworks Night on July 4th is the Independence Day celebration the city of Johnstown has been waiting for!
The Johnstown Mill Rats game on Thursday, July 4th will be packed with festivities that will begin with the honoring of Sgt. Michael Strank, who helped raise the flag on the island of Iwo Jima during WWII. The Strank family will be in attendance and will be recognized prior to the start of the game. The Mill Rats will also be wearing a special uniform set that features the iconic flag raising photo of Sgt. Strank and his fellow Marines.
The Johnstown Symphony Orchestra will be present and playing before the game. The Mill Rats will then square off against the Champion City Kings at 7:00PM. The evening will be capped off with a professional fireworks display by Starfire. 1st Summit Bank is providing tickets in advance free of charge, that can be picked up at any Cambria County 1st Summit Bank location:
